The Hendrix College Warriors will open their 2023-24 men's basketball season on Wednesday, November 8th at 8:00 PM at Grove Gymnasium against the Ozark Eagles. The two teams split the series last season, with both teams collecting wins on their home floor.
The Warriors are led by a group of experienced returners, including Daniel Cobb, Darvis Rasberry Jr., and Colten Berry. Cobb is a senior guard who averaged 10.5 points per game last season, while Rasberry Jr. is a junior forward who averaged 9.8 points and 6.5 rebounds per game. Berry is a senior forward who averaged 8.5 points and 4.5 rebounds per game.
The Warriors also welcome a number of newcomers this season, including transfer guard Max Chenault and freshmen forwards Addison Shelton and Micah Gibbs. Chenault is a junior transfer from Southeastern Oklahoma State, where he averaged 12.5 points per game last season. Shelton and Gibbs are both highly-touted recruits who are expected to make immediate contributions.
The Ozark Eagles are led by senior guard Treylon Cannon, who averaged 15.5 points per game last season. The Eagles also return a number of other key players, including senior forward Jalen Jennings and junior guard Cameron Martin.
The Warriors are excited to open the season at home against the Ozark Eagles. They are confident that they have the talent and experience to compete for a championship this season.
